Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company Ltd. (ADGAS) owns and operates a LNG Plant at Das Island located some 160 km North West of Abu Dhabi City. ADGAS (Abu Dhabi Gas liquefaction Company) is operating LNG, OAG, IGD and STOREX plants from DAS Island in UAE.

The Central Control Building (CCB) was built in 1989 and extended in 1991, with third LNG train being built in Das Island. The CCB has a control room which houses consoles and workstations for operating LNG train 1, train 2, train 3, OAG, Power Management System and utilities. Currently, the CCB has space limitation in the technical room and control room.

LNG plant consisting of Train-1, 2 & 3 Process & Utility is currently having Honeywell TPS system. There are continuous improvements/changes in the technology over a period of time hence current HMI for LNG plant is obsolete. ADGAS is planning to upgrade HMI for LNG plant to latest state of art EPKS HMI.

ADGAS is also planning to integrate LNG / OAG / IGD / STOREX networks to share the process data on the ADGAS business LAN for Production calculation, Inventory management etc.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The HMI upgrade project scope is composed of four (4) main packages:

  • The construction of a new Blast resistant Central Control Building (CCB).

  • The centralization in the new CCB and upgrade of the existing Control and Command to the latest available HMI technology.

  • The Modernization of the existing Control room with interlink to the new CCB.

  • Detailed Engineering, Procurement, supply, installation and commissioning supervision and changeover for DCS system portion for HMI upgrade project as described below:


major scope items  identified as part of CCB and HMI upgrade project:

  1. Demolition of existing Buildings

  2. Construction of a New CCB fully equipped and ready to receive the upgraded HMI center for the plant Operation

  3. Upgrade of HMI for LNG plant to EPKS HMI in CCB (Train-1, 2 & 3-Process and Utilities & Supervisory Console), in OS-7, OS-10 and Field Control House.

  4. Relocation of LNG, OAG, IGD, PMS and Supervisory consoles from the old CCB to new CCB.

  5. Relocation of other equipments such as CCTV monitors for Train-1 & 2 Process, Power Management System (PMS) for LNG & OAG, ADMA Communication PC, and ADGAS LAN PC’s to new CCB.

  6. Supply of new ECB, ADMA Mimic Panel and F&G Key Switch Panel and provide installation supervision for the same

  7. Integrate the existing Train-1, Train-2 & Train-3 F&G system HMI with Honeywell Experian system.

  8. Integrate LNG / OAG / IGD / STOREX networks.

  9. Integrate PHD Systems at LNG / OAG / IGD / STOREX plants.

  10. Integrate Alarm Management Systems at LNG / OAG / IGD / STOREX plants.

  11. Modify and refurbish existing CCB

  12. Interconnect existing CCB with new CCB
